Great pickup, Henry. You beat me for it, and I'm glad it went to a Malt Lager collector. That's the only one I've ever seen.

Nice Trommer's. I just got outbid on a similar one on Ebay about a week ago. Tried to pick it up on the cheap and got outbid by $.50

Next time guess I'll have to man up and put in a serious number.

that one had a buy it now, no one bidded, i contacted him afterward and he sold it to me on side. was in canada. its not a real tuff can, they are out there, and people seem to like trommers cans, in my opinion usually a very overpriced can when it comes to buying one.

Ok, I'm officially on a can diet. Thanks to Mark for the OD, and my buddy Jeff who was able to find a nice Tru Blu Crowntainer for me at Spring Thaw while I was in Vegas. I can finally cross that off the "wanted list". The Hull's Export ALE took me a while to find.

Found these at an antique store under $20 for both items. The Anchor Steam Beer tin sign has a copyright 1968, this would make the coolest can! What happened?

The "6" sign is actually the front of a lighted sign. It's pretty cool it looks like the beer is pouring from the bottle. All I have is the glass insert but it was not very cheap.

My previous shelfer of this can was pretty darn nice. Then, this one came along. Not sure it would be possible to upgrade from here.

Thanks to Dan Morean.

Just snagged the whole Associated Yellow Stripe Schmidt 17 can set on eBay for $74 w/postage.
Since I didn't have any of them I think it was a pretty sweet deal.
Apologies to the losing bidder if you were BCCA or RB member.

These are all CCC cans, the book shows both a CCC and National so I wonder if the whole set is available as National also?

When I was a kid, we were lucky to find a beautiful Old Crown Ale that looks as good today as the day it was removed from the grocer's cooler. It remains my Dad's favorite can and it is still at my parent's house. I have always wanting the matching Old Crown Beer but it seems like the good ones always exceed what I willing to pay and the dumpers are too far gone to make it worth getting them. Finally, I got this can. It's an indoor can but judging from the humidity I am guessing it was found in either a barn or garage. It looks good to me and I am very pleased to have it.

The Old Crown Beer and Ale cans are my absolute favorites. I have a scruffy looking Beer that I picked up a while ago, and which my daughter has been trying to steal from me for at least a year. Finally, at the Monticello show last month, I told her I would buy her one can, whatever she wanted, as long as it was less than $50.00. She had a lot of GREAT cans to choose from, she could have picked up any number of really cool cans, but she settled for a $10 Old Crown Beer that was in marginally better condition than the one one I have. And she never hesitates to point out to me that she has the nicer Old Crown. She's really an Acme specialist, but I suspect that the Old Crown is her favorite can, although it might be a tie with her Acme Bock can.
