Very nice. Was the back originally made as two pieces or did it crack in half over the years? That chair must be very old. I bet pre WWII easily and probably pre WWI.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

Looks like the back was one piece and split. Needs some work but I like the carving and detail work.
I’m thinking early 20th century but don’t really know.

Love it!

Some quality wood glue and a couple of solid clamps for a few days and that split will be gone. Looks like the entire chair will clean up nicely.

Great find.

Some of the recent acquisitions for my crowntainer collection. Pretty large variety between condition and rarity. The Old Fashioned, side pictured, is the non union symbol variation. The Silver Stock is pretty rough, but will most likely be the only one that ever crosses my path. The Esslinger, National Bohemian, Kuebler Cream Ale and the white Ebling Beer, just really happy to have been able to add to the collection. Thanking fellow Rusty Bunchers who considered me for s few of these cans as well as the other beer can collectors I worked with to acquire them. The National Bohemian is from Dan Morean Auctions.The search continues for crowntainers. 288 and waddling towards 300.

The National Bohemian was an upgrade, won't have to worry about that anymore. The can I had was sold to a fellow crowntainer collector within an hour of the close of the auction I bought this can. The Old Fashioned: I actually do not know how rare it is. I do know I have been looking for one for a while. The thing about a can like this, I find, is that if you don't collect crowntainers, the variation doesn't mean much. The regular Old Fashioned, with the union symbol is not a difficult can. So, because of that, the value is tempered. In my opinion.

@NatBoh
@beercanman

Got these early this week. The two Heidelbergs are Wind Tunnel cans that were offered by NatBoh. That brings me up to seven different (only 1 Jubilee) Wind Tunnel cans. John was kind enough to add a commemorative lid on one.

The A-1 Ale was also through NatBoh. It came from the box full of mangled cans that BeerCanMan sent him to repair and sell. John does absolutely nice work. Proud to add these to my collection.

This arrived yesterday. It cost $100 which was more than I wanted to spend but I decided it would probably be years before I found another so I am happy I bought it. The date on the bottom indicates April, 1949. Newspaper advertising suggests Patrick Henry was not made in Grand Rapids until 1949. The brewery ceased operations at the end of 1951 so Patrick Henry would have had a pretty short run in Grand Rapids.

Nice, Really nice case. Congratulations. Back in the day, I used to have a wall of cases that I collected over the early years, in the late 60's early 70's. Most of the from the 50's. I always loved them.

@bantam10

Bantam sent me the Strohs can after seeing the other thread. This is the tough two faced flat top. I am confident this can is all original. :razz:

The Schmidt's cone top came from ebay. This is the "Made by the Walsnek progress" can.
