Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
The beer can stork dropped this on my doorstep. It is a early Pfeiffer zip... Only word's no speed bumps. Like all of zip tabs i have looked at, from Pfeiffer of Detroit. No words below the teardrop, like some flats do.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Jack, you asked about my top of my Pfeiffer zip top recently, you asked what kind of zip it was. The one I recently acquired at the Toledo show has what you call speed bumps. LEON.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Interesting- 2 Minnesota based breweries maybe sharing advertising costs...and the same diamond shaped logo, which I thought was more of a Grain Belt trademark?

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Ok, I’m gonna go down this road not knowing what I’m talking about, cause I mainly follow sodas but I have a lot of pull tabs like the ones shown. Can you share what you paid for the 70’s pulls that I’m assuming are common?

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
It's time to focus on replacing the remainder of the J's I sold off a decade ago, even if a.couple of these are upgrades. I still need to replace Blatz, both Bruck's labels 3.2% - 7%, Pilsener Type by Frederick's, Topaz and Kuebler Ale (oval) with union label right of seam.

@Beamer
Fox Deluxe quart cone top from Grand Rapids.
This can arrived in my mailbox today. It's not as nice as the one Beamer got at Cabin Fever earlier this year but I am still grateful to get it. It cost $45 net which was less than I anticipated. Either that means my valuation was wrong or proof that you should not have auctions end on a major holiday.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Thanks! I've seen a couple blue ones that were virtually perfect, but they were rolled and this one is all-original and bottom opened. I'm also not clear as to whether there's a rarity difference between the "long mandatory" and "short mandatory" variations ongrade.WISCONSINCANMAN wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 7:40 pm Wow !
