All New Richmond Show!

As most of the local folks know, we lost our 20 year venue for our Annual Richmond Show when the building was sold for other uses. In trying to turn a bummer into an opportunity, we are now really changing things up and we are going to have our a our Fall show at The Center of the Universe Brewing Company on November 22, 2014 from 10am to 3pm. The brewery folks have been super to work with and a big thanks goes to Keith Bryant for pulling this one together. The deal is there is flat $5 fee for setting up and you will need to, if possible, bring your own table if you want to display. Walk-ins are free. All beer sales at the brewery goes against our rental fee so if we act like ourselves, we can possibly get out of this for no charge beyond the refreshments we are providing. So make plans to come to beautiful Hanover County for a great show and a lot of fun. The COTU has a great website for directions and if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.

Chris, I'm gonna miss this one again. The band is playing Friday night, and then Conehead and I are going dumping Saturday-Monday, (If we don't get snowed out)' The good news is that after 12.5 years the band is going to call it a night after New Years Eve. I'm going to miss the money for buying cans, but now I might be able to make some of the 1 day shows I've been missing!

One thing I forgot to include in my original posting and that is the brewery has very few useable tables for our purposes. So if you are planning on setting up, please bring a folding table or the like, if possible. I am bringing three tables myself and I will try to have an extra if anybody needs one. We also have a fair amount of wall space to lean up against if you don't have a table to bring. It looks like we should have a good turnout so if you aren't going to be in Mass. come check our new show out!

This is kind of a bump. but there was a typo in the Richbrau newsletter concerning times for the show. The correct hours for the show are from 10am-3pm. The brewery is open for its regular business crowd at 1pm, so hopefully we will get some interest from the wander-in crowd. But before then the show is open to the public and the amenities of COTU are all ours!

WOW! Looks like a great show. It would be cool to travel to a new area to see new faces and cans. BTW, Keith has some real nice cans in those totes :)
