My best guess is that the advertising company used the wrong can for its ad. Perhaps Krueger sent over one of their leftover Specials for the picture. All I can say for certain is that is one interesting piece of advertising.

I'm sure it's been asked before, but if a mint one were found, what would it be worth? $250K? What if 12 mint ones were found? $25K? -Mike

My guess would be that 1 would bring in somewhere between $50-100K. It's difficult to pay those big dollars for a can that may become just one of many if another find occurs. There's a fair amount of downside risk...and few collectors willing to spend that much.

25 would lower the price considerably. My guess is it would be closer to $8-10K than $25K. As Dan questioned, are there really 25 collectors that can/would spend five figures on a can? I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Let's hope there's a big find!

Sorry, I just saw that Mike asked about 12 cans, not 25. My guess is $15K for 12 cans. Some would sell higher, some lower, but that's my guess for average price. How many people really are willing to pay that kind of money for a can?...and some that are willing to are getting to the potential end of their prime collecting years.

Any signs of a Special ALE? One would think it may have existed if the Beer did as a test or short run brand.
