My take from the Dallas-Fort Worth Canvention!

Too nice not to pick up but not nice enough for mint guys, which is why I had a shot at it. Part of my "States that Border New Mexico collection."

Image
Image
An upgrade for me! Common label from Spokane but tough from Chicago. I will never have to upgrade this one.

Image
A few nice Texas cans....I've could have added more but left some for another time.

Image
The Jax hasn't even been dipped and should clean well - new one for the shelf. I dug a bunch of Oakland 49ers years ago and never kept one. The Charro is just awesome. I was hoping to pick up a nice Buccaneer but was too late.

Image
I arrived Thursday night but room to room is non-exsistent due to the trade floor being open that day and everyone left their stuff locked up on the floor. Chicagoian Don Hardy was the only room I found open and brought the whole set of 5 Meister Brau Bank/Gallons. This was the only one left and I needed it. Great Score for me and only 2 left to complete the set!

Image
A couple of New Orleans cans. The Falstaff is New Orleans that I got from Steve Fernandes - he gave me a smokin' deal! BTW - Steve provides the banners for the Rusty Bunch displays at Canvention for at least the last 10 years - BIG THANKS to Steve for supporting the RB!! The Regal came from the Good Guys which I needed for a project I'm working on.

Image
3 Favorites also from the Good Guys - Beer Cans Plus. The Kool is indoor & from Santa Rosa and is a R-10/R8, whatever that means. The Brown Derby is by Grace Bros and was a surprise can when I flipped it over for the brewery info. I've dumped the Schlitz before and now I have a good one. I am now a member of the Beer Cans Plus "40%-OFF Club." If you spend enough money with them, you get lifetime 40% off at shows and their website. Ask Dan Baker details!

Image
Picked this one up for Dale as I was headed out to the airport. It aint pretty, but it's a Stroud! Maybe we'll dump some with Conehead Jim Hall next spring!

Image
Probably my Can-Of-The-Show for me. I've dumped this before but never good enough for the shelf. Thanks to Dan M. for an awesome deal. BTW - he is a website sponsor, so please visit his website. Our sponsers donate our raffle cans which generate big money for the chapter.

All in all, an awesome show for me! My feet are tired from being on them 16-hours a day, but it was well worth it. I also carried around a pen and small notebook, to write down room #s I need to visit and take notes on dumping locations as they pop up - who can remember anything the next day after a night at Canvention!

Very nice stuff! It makes me wonder how much cash I need to bring to my first canvention? All those magnificent cans in one location must be really tempting!

Some great cans there! Love that Regal cone. So is that Jax with or without IRTP?

Had a pretty nice take from Dallas myself, including one of my Grail cans. Will post in separate thread when I get home tonight.

I used to have an indoor black Golden Age & the red Withdrawn-Free to go with it...but for some reason, I got rid of them. Carl did get the red WF though, so it went to a good home. I still have my OD Golden Age lo-pro though!

It's been a week now since Canvention, and now I cant wait for Milwaukee. Funny how it take forever to come along, and then it's gone! You really have to enjoy the time while you at the big show, which I did.
