Selling 3/4 of my collection

#1

Post by Maple Nut »

Hopefully by this weekend I will start posting cans for sale from my collection ... am paring way down and keeping only the ones I really like. Also hoping to earn some cash to use towards repairs on the "new" old car I bought this spring - see photo below. Since I bought it and after driving it for awhile I found some things that I want to improve or need to fix, so cash comes in handy to do that.

I will be putting up for sale some cones, flats, zips and pull tabs of various rarity & condition from about grade 4 up to on grade. I'll also consider trades for an eclectic group of cans that I still might like to get.

More details to follow once I get the dues paid and switch back from orange to black.

John

Forgot to include that the car is a 1929 Buick.

I will post pics - probably about 10 - 20 cans per pic. I will also post a wanted list for trading. Hopefully I will start posting on Saturday

I'm looking forward to your posts. I have not bought much later and the Fort Wayne show is still months away. Hopefully you will have some displayable rust.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

Here is my "wanted list" of cans for which I will consider trades on the cans I have in the Advertise section. Looking for grade 2 in general but will consider grade 3. Any variation is OK unless otherwise stated:

12 oz:
Alps Brau, Grace Bros (upgrade)
Happy Hops (gold can)
Lassen Bavarian
Snowcrest
Alpen Glen O/I
Willows O/I
Tahoe
Clipper O/I
Black & White (ABC Brewing Co)
Clear Lake
Gluek Stite (green can, flat, upgrade)
Golden Glow Beer O/I
102 (flat, black or red, grade 2 only)
Pilsengold O/I (upgrade)
Regency flat (Maier)
Pabst Bock O/I
Blackhawk Premium (Uchtorf)
Town Club O/I
Matterhorn (pull)
Alpine (Maier)
Buffalo O/I (upgrade)

16 oz:
Yankee
Golden Gate
Velvet Glove (steel)
Astro
Weiss Bavarian
102 or 102 Draft (grade 2 only)
Colorado Gold Label (pull tab)
Great Lakes (flat or pull)
Skol
Alpine (Maier)

cones:
El Rey (upgrade)
Salute (any version, upgrade)
Pacific (blue, upgrade)
Fitger's (red can)
Schell's Deer Brand (not the Crowntainer)
City Club (gold can)
Gluek's (blue or silver, from 1930's)
Sun Valley
Royal (from Reno)
Heileman's (black, orange, yellow can)
Heileman's Old Style (oldest version)
Grain Belt - gold can
Yoerg's
Karlsbrau

Probably a few others - I am collecting now by can graphics - if I like the way it looks, I will collect it. Still have a general preference for MN & CA cans.

Thanks for all the responses so far. I will post about 4 more groups of cans next weekend (Sept 6), and those will be the last posts.
