Shuttle bus to the airport, check in, through customs and then into the Qantas Lounge for some lunch, then onto the plane for the direct flight to Dallas leaving at 1.20pm Sunday.

Arrived in Dallas early afternoon Sunday at 1.45pm, only 25 minutes after I left Sydney the same day 15 hours earlier, thanks to the international date line. At the customs clearance there was no long line, only two people were in front of me. Picked up my luggage and was in the hotel only 1.30 hours after touchdown. This included 15 minutes waiting for the Hyatt schuttle. Very hot outdoors. Met up with two of the other Aussies and has a few cold drinks and dinner in Aces Bar next to the Hyatt lobby . Then time to sleep off the jet lag.
Early start Monday morning, shuttle to the airport, then shuttle to the rental car centre. Got a full sized Chevrolet for $39 for the day. Off to Walmart to pick up water and other supplies for the room, found 16 Pringles tubes for my collection that are new since my last trip in April to the Vegas.

Then off to local member Steve Fischer's home for an Open House. Thanks to Steve and Nida for letting us in to look around. Steve has and amazing Texas collection and a great display space.

Back to the Hyatt and met up with a lot of the other early arrivals and even did found three rooms already open to view. Unfortunetly the cell then decided to run out of battery.
