CANVENTION ROLL CALL -- who's going to DFW?

Canvention is in a month. I thought it would be useful for RBers headed to DFW to shout it out -- maybe there are ride, roommate, or social arrangements that we can make ahead of time.

I'm getting in Thursday, it looks like, and staying 3 nights.

I think I'm betting that Thursday BBQ is gonna be a good time and Saturday banquet's gonna be a drag...

Bring your tough off grade cone tops! I have plenty with me to trade or sell!

I'll be arriving Wednesday afternoon. I picked up a clouded Cremo can from Roy last Saturday, so that's my trading stock for the show. Look me up if you need one.

I'll be in and out. Kinda half going to the Canvention, half going to see my parents, sister, and a work thing. Will not be bringing traders......but will try and have a wad of cash so that any window of opportunity I have to grab a can, I'll be able to move quickly before having to go out and do family stuff.

I will be flying in on Sunday 24th after a 15 and a half hour direct flight from Sydney to Dallas Fort Worth. Then just got to get from Terminal D to Terminal C. My first one flight only Canvention!

After the show driving up to Colorado to try out all their Casinos and see a few collections!

Look forward to partying with all my Rusty Brothers again. There will be 13 Aussies coming this year, our biggest contingent yet.

Just arrived from Aussie. 15 hour flight was o.k. plenty of t.v. shows, music and sleep. Shuttle from terminal D to hotel only took 5 minutes. Just about to try out the food. Paying 5.99 for 8 hours wifi in the room. 9.99 for 24 hours. You can hook six items to the plan. I got my laptop, tablet and cell all on line for the one price. Free wi fi in the lobby and bar.

Apparently I just missed Josh. He checked out about an hour before I got here.

Believe or not, today I got a "hall" pass for attending the Canvention. it' been a long month, and my wife decided a need a serious break! I plan to fly down Wednesday afternoon. I made reservation at the hotel, but am open to share expenses with some one (male preferred....I don't snore..i am a 58 happily married male). The best rate I can get now is $170/night which I'll pay if I have to, but that's less beer can money. I will bring a full suitcase trading stock room trading.

I am new to the Rusty Bunch folks, and certainly will volunteer table duty. I am looking forward to meeting members (especially those that participated in the 16th Anniversary Show).

Anyone willing to have a room mate?

I really wanted to attend this year as last year was great. Our plant's 25th. anniversary is tomorrow and I am scheduled to give 12 presentations to our customers throughout the day. Only six minutes per group, but I would rather be hanging out with the CANvention crew. Have fun and hope to see you all next time.
