Bock beer

#1

Post by Mike S »

I haven't drank a bock in many years but today i seen some in the store and grabbed a case. Seems a bit early for this no? $11.99 for a case of yuengling bock seemed cheap, maybe i should have grabbed 2! They also had genny bock in cans.

Down here in Texas Spoeztl Brewery makes Shiner Bock all year long. And this beer viewtopic.php?f=112&t=32267 has been in my local liquor store for the past 2 months. I'm guessing that there really is no "season" to bock beer anymore.

I have been drinking Shiner Bock year round at my favorite mexican restaurant, Chuey's now for a year and a half. The restaurant and bock beer is excellent.

Yeah, they brought that stuff out in the spring in my area. It was the first time I had ever seen it. Pretty good beer actually! And that is just a classic bock label design.

MIke, that is last springs version. The "new" stuff will come out around February. Still good though.

Try the genesee bock. It's quite different than Yuengling. Both are I good but different. Genny is cheaper but just as good. I buy a bunch of cases of it in the spring and then use it all year long, it holds up well.

Mike! Good to see you on the site again!
"Although the cans will be of no value after opened, their cost is expected to be small..." Iowa: June 22, 1935

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?
