Has anyone compiled a list of known sport cans? It looks like the BCCA chapter website is no longer active.

How on earth do you define a sports can? Do the Schmidt cans with fishing, rodeo, race cars, waterskiing, snowmobiling count as sports cans? How about the Pfieffer sailboating, skiing, trout and muskie fishing cans? Does the can need to mention a particular team to be a sports can? What about the World Series of Poker Milwaukee's best cans that mention a specific sporting event? It would be difficult to make a list without defining what you count as a sports can. Ilafoe, what kind of sports cans do you collect? Merry Christmas to all!

The Sports can chapter used to maintain a list of what they considered to be sports cans. Don't know if it has been updated in the past couple of years, but someone's got to have it.

What defines a sports can can be debated, and the sports can guys don't always agree on it. Let me see if I can get a list from one of the sports guys. I know a few and don't think they'd mind us having a copy as a reference.

Yes the list exists, it has not been updated in a couple years, but it is pretty exhaustive. The Sportscan Chapter put it together based on the original work on a list by the Dean of Sports can collecting Bruce Remick. The list was later updated by Marc Austin BCCAer from Maryland (I think we even burned it to a cd). I will get the list and from Kevin McCabe and forward it so it can be added to the composite list.
