I have had the great privilege of dumping with 68 current and former Rusty Bunch members, to date. Got to hit the woods of Virginia with Charlie Smigo recently.

Re: Need more
I think I ended up with something from all but one of the RB sponsors. But, yes, there was some substantial wheelin' and dealin' with Dan M. on Sat evening. Despite all that shine, my can of the show is the Narragansett pint. Have been looking for that one for a LONG LONG time.ANGRY GARY wrote:Very nice Dave. Somebody visited one of our sponsors room!

Dave,
What does that Krueger usually sell for, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Need more
I believe it was the Beer Can Guide. I was so excited to find it I forgot my manners and neglected to do introductions as I went off to stash it in my room. But I did notice BeerCanGuide biz cards on the table. rlfplf did this come from you? I saw on here that you recently got a clean one.Daev Larrazolo wrote:Ya Dave where did you get that pint? Re: Need more
I would say $25-$40 range, though I honestly don't know whether it's any tougher than the Half Quart version, enamel version or any other (tho the book says there's a variant with white word "cream" that gets a premium). This one came in a group of cans and was not individually priced.
I am a freak for Narragansett variations, not so much for their off-brand labels so I may be off on this one...

Re: Need more
Dave, great cans!
Here's my small haul. Went for quality over quantity. Looked at lots more but didn't pull the trigger except for these 3. The Alpen Glen from Dan M., the Schoenling from Dale R. and Esslinger Bock from fellow Mountaineer Jim R. Thanks guys! I didn't accuire this sign at B/G, just had it returned to me after some restoration. Thinking that's Teddy Roosevelt and some German officer (Kaiser Wilhelm?)in the '08(?) Caddy.

Always looking for West Virginia breweriana from Fesenmeier and Parkersburg.

Re: Need more
I haven't had much luck getting high end cans at shows lately, but I basically went crazy on a few of these. Plus plenty of upgrades, odd cities and micro cans. First 9 are flats, next 4 are zips, first MB Lite is a juice tab. Also picked up a nice Krueger thermometer and a boatload of micro-coasters.
Also got to share a beer or 10 with friends both new and old. What a country!!!!

Re: Need more
Just curious, is the A&P Tudor tab a hard can? Reason I ask is that when I was a kid, I remember a 3 foot deep, 5 acre dump full of these in Edneyville NC that I was standing in. I took a couple of cases but left most of them there.
I dump cans and cars, if you find old cars & trucks while dumping, please let me know.

WOH (to quote) to go to a show and get almost 50 cans for the shelf - that is GREAT at any show. The people that go are in the know!
So sorry I missed all the fun and the conversations, beer, cans, smashing Ditto cans, etc.
Thanks for the photos; see you in PDX in May.

Re: Need more
The enamel thin seamed A&P Tudor can from Cumberland is brain dead easy. The one I picked up was an upgrade on my ring pull from Trenton, NJ. Depending on how crazy you want to get with lid and mandatory variations, some of the Tudors are difficult to come by.fiat128 wrote:Just curious, is the A&P Tudor tab a hard can? Re: Need more
I had a great time at the show, didnt even notice the locals dont drink much in the hospitality room bring our own Yuenglings and Millers.Shared some good laughs with Andy,Paul B,and alot of the shows regulars.Went dumping got some shelfers, sold some dumpers, liked hanging out with Glenn and got some great stuff for the collection.Life is Good and so is the Blue Gray show. Andy worked a deal and got me a killer Bushkill neon for a steal upgraded 4 dumpers 2 Qrts and 2 cones. New Yorker Bob C.got my Bartels neon at coal cracker show and fixed it and brought it to the BG show. Sentimental that neon one my Dad had in his bar for many yrs.Seamonkey gave me a great deal on the Qrts and Dave L thanx for tracking him down.

That Bushkill is sweet. Seamonkey was never at his table so I did a lot of tracking.
