Foreign flat top question-Wee Willie's pale ale

#1

Post by McBears »

Has anyone ever seen this can? All I know is it was purchased by the seller in 1962-and purchased for my shelf in 2010. Brewed by Scottish brewers limited in Edinburgh. Any feedback is appreciated.

There are a number of Scottish pint size flats, some are quite rare, a few are unique. The label design looks familiar, or at least the logo of the Scot does, anyway. I think that was used on some other pints, too, but not sure if it was the same brewery. I don't have the can.

There are 3 Younger's pints in Beer Cans Unlimited with the same fellow on them. Do not see one like you have pictured however. They have Sweet Stout, Tartan and Monk Export pictured. That's all I know.

BCU lists them at 2-4 dollars. But it is the 1976 printing.

I also have the same Wm Younger's (Wee Willie) Pale Ale can with an opening instruction on the lid but not sure of its history or value. If I may ask, what did you pay for the one in your collection? Very cool can!
