Got my turn through the box Saturday in ABQ. Oldstyle was liberated to CO for a gold Columbia OI. Mike had everything that was in it, and passed. Dale did great repairs to some of the more fragile cans, and it's ready to go to it's next destination. Ed took a pic and will post it soon. I hope it's heading east, as it has a western flavor right now, but there are some good cans in it!

Potluck box is on its way to Texas and then Iowa and Potland after that....

Here's Scott Rollert's trade....

Alpen Glow is being repaired - it has shipping damage that I didnt notice until now....

Maybe the next Pot Luck Box can be virtual - where all the cans are stored in one location, picture taken of the cans and posted on website, then trade one at a time that way. Everybody pays $5 to get their cans shipped. No excessive shipping/damage to the cans since they dont all make the trip. Just a thought....

I like that idea Ed. Plus, if the hub for the virtual box is (for instance) ABQ, we'll have Dale right there to do any repairs as needed to damaged cans. I also need your address to send you a better cap for your Walter's bottle...

After all of the emotions related to this and the last pot luck I was a bit hesitant to swap anything out! My trade stock is pretty diminished lately but here are the 2 I took out:

and here are the two I put in - I figured the the Tam-O Shanter was pre war as it was a dull gray OI.

Ed - I couldn't find the participant list in the box. Can you email it to me and I'll get the box moving for the next trade. Thanks everyone for doing this - it's always a lot of fun. There's some great cans in there - I was drooling over the nice Leidig's German Style and a few of the others.

Cheers!

I got the box on Friday. Sent it out to Portland today. Alas I could not find anything...good thing to because there is some great stuff in there that would of been tough to replace. Mike

The box arrived at my place last week - all in one piece. There was about 30 cans, even a couple of old cone tops - quite a selection of uncommon and common cans. The box is now on its way to Idaho, sent parcel post to keep the cost down.

Here is my take (bottom row) and put in (top row)
P7020027.JPG

I tossed in some extras and even upgraded 3 of the more common OIs; This was a good way to clean out some cans that I have been carrying around in my totes AND get some new cans for the shelf.

Yea - I got an email from Steve about the box. I don't know what took so long - I mailed that sucker on July 6th. It must have delivered by back pack. Glad to see that the box is back on track.

Yes I received the box on Saturday (7-24) and hope to get it back on it's route across the country later this week. There are some nice western cans in the box so should fill some holes for the eastern folks on the list.
