While these are’t connected to St. Patrick’s Day, I am sure lucky to have them! What are you lucky for?

Coca-Cola large diamond 250ml - mid 1960's FULL

This can has been sold - I've never seen a full example before - very cool find from Southern California. The can is listed on Ebay, but I would sell privately. Email me if interested. DT

Re: New price record for a zip code soda can?

Here is the Mountain Dew Red can that sold for $821 in March of 2015. I knew I saved it, but had to look a little to find it.

Wow - I do vaguely remember seeing that. Have more Code Red's shown up? Did you ever get one?

New price record for a zip code soda can?

I can't remember seeing a zip code can go over the $500 mark before. Maybe a Coke test can at some point, but not a regular issue like this. Paul Rebner owned the first of these before his collection was sold. Not sure where it ended up. This makes two... There were three bidders over the $500 mark ...

New Buffalo Rock generation

Just picked this one up - has soda underneath grape. Most likely an earlier version since the other straight steel and crimped steel Buffalo Rock's have soda next to grape. These also have a silver border around Buffalo Rock and the bottom portion of the oval. It looks like the new one matches the k...

Re: Playing with a lidding machine

Thank you for the replies and documents - I am going to look closer when I have more time to work with it. It sounds pretty unanimous that there is something off with the first roller. It's an electric with hand controls for the rollers. Picked it up in NY via Craigslist. Missing some parts, but I w...

Playing with a lidding machine

I picked up a used electric lidding machine in NY a few months ago. It was set up to lid quart cans, but could be adjusted for 211 size lids. I did need to drill a hole in the chuck to make it fit though. Anyway, the second lid I tried went on ok. After that, I would get v shaped extensions from the...

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday

I found an example of one of the rarest Coca-Cola cans... A first generation 12oz plain diamond from the UK. The 11.5 ounces cans with the bottle diamond are still pretty rare, but available. I had never seen a clean example of this can. This one has a lid very similar to the US test can lids from 1...

Re: Dads silver root beer

Yes - the can with only the license info would have had a graphic lid, showing the canner location. Mine is an original bank top though... Here is a pic showing the two different seams.

The can on the left only lists the license and is a brighter blue. The can on the right also lists the canner and is a darker blue. I’ll post the other seam later. Not at home now.

Value is what people will pay. I have a cap of $350 on zip code cans, but a clean Evervess might tempt me. There are 2-3 other ginger ales so who knows. There must be more.

Rolled Cans

I am interested in the perspective of the group on rolled cans. In the soda side, there are quite a few cans that only exist rolled, with less than one or two non-rolled examples. While this is only a sample, many of these are only available rolled. The one exception is the Cellu can - there are 3 o...
