I have only seen Busch Ice as a 25oz can in Maine and Florida.

Re: Any guesses

Well it is not a Black Label.
Can you take another picture not so close up, to see if it is a flat top or cone top? What are the lids like? How about the seam?
I was gonna say Fox De Luxe or Black Eagle but that has to be wrong.

Re: crown can Dunk’s

Basically, people should look in every 25 cent box and every “common” collection because there’s lots of sleepers or formerly unknown variations out there. It would be great to have a master list of common cans that were actually filled at other breweries. For instance, I have a common aluminum Red...

Re: ETHICS ETHICS ETHICS ETHICS or CHERRY CHERRY CHERRY CHERRY CHEERY

It is called cherry picking, a term from coin collecting. In which there are collectors in all collecting hobbies, who educate themselves and learn to look for variations or rarities that are offered by sellers who are not aware of what they are selling. They are smart. They go to yard sales, public...

Re: Grafs rub out.

The can manufacturer printed the Graf's brand on left over, unused, unsold or spoiled, rejected flat sheets, which in this case never went into production as a beer can filled with Goebel beer.

It is real and does exist but only as a runout or rub out if it is a flat top.

My 2 cents.

"Van Nuys does not have the historical significance that a few other sections of large cities such as the burroughs of New York like Brooklyn have." Maybe it does have significance as part of either LA the city or county. Such as Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Watts, Compton, Pasadena, Burb...

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)

That has happened to me a couple of times where my bid, like yours, was not even accepted. Simple example: The high bid is $20 with 10 seconds remaining. I place a bid of $40. ebay responds with "outbid, bid again" with only 3 seconds left, too late to bid again. My bid not accepted. High bidder win...

Re: New Narragansett Shandy

More than just the address changed: 'BEER' is added, 'Sold on Merit' and NBC logo are re-positioned. Also 5% Alc on the older (2014?) compared with 4.7% on the newer. Added a couple of other pictures of the back, so maybe other changes. I try to keep up with Narragansett cans but difficult to get me...

Re: Which USBC row would you choose?

Enjoyable thread here, for wishful thinkers. So I looked through the volume 1 book to see what I already had and if I had a complete 8-can horizontal row of anything. Came close with several 6 or 7 out of 8 on some rows but always a $1000+ or withdrawn free can to break the streak. My only complete ...

There is an ebay seller with copies from 1978-1982 available in lots by year for around $2 an issue with free shipping.

Nothing in the sold listings during the past 90 days.

Re: Canvention 50 Status - Go or No-Go??

One potentially positive scenario for the Canvention would have MLB change the schedule and the Cubs not be in town that weekend. With the rumored abbreviated season, the schedules will have to be revamped. Moving the Cubs from St Louis will mean that downtown will have exponentially less people ar...

Dixie brewed in New Orleans in 16 ounce cans.

Surprised to find it in Maine but found it at Whole Foods in Portland.
