I can tell you the Clipper looks much better in hand than in the pix. The vertical scratch is almost unseen in hand.

Gotta love the can. So strange to think there are now 6 of them. Certainly not the same holy grail as when just one was known.

The hobby marches on.

Re: Getting Audited from Ebay purchases

Technically, the reported request for tax is correct, but this could still be a scam. It depends who is really doing the audit. Most states have a use tax, like a sales tax, which requires self-reporting by buyers. The seller isn't responsible for it because they didn't collect it (if they did but d...

I thought the same thing when I heard that commercial. It really bugs me that they bought the Meister Brau brand and then say they invented it...... Not sure where that fuzzy line should be drawn, but they're on the wrong side of it IMHO.

Re: Gr 2 St Louis Black Dallas OI ?

Why are prices higher than they were before? Because there is more demand. How can there be more demand when there are fewer collectors? Because the collectors today have more money than the collectors 40 years ago. Demand doesn't just mean how many people want it. It means how much are those who ar...

See, now that is dumping paradise to me !!! Indoor dumping. I love the idea of what could be in any nook or cranny of the place. Would a metal detector be helpful in those buildings, or would you get too many false signals? Cans in walls could be there !!!! the New Yorker set, no doubt. I do worry a...

Tough can. I bid, but took third (actually, it didn't show up, but my bid would have been third had it not already been outbid when esnipe posted it). I seem to recall being outbid by a certain Dr. when an ongrade on came up about a decade ago. I think that went for about $12k. Is this the third bes...

Didn't know the Sterling Ale was that rare. Maybe it doesn't get respect next to its more common sibling. I always thought it went Mustang, Grace, Gett bock, Deer Run, and then Walters. Not sure what to think of the various test gallons that seem to surface. I also can't decide if I like the display...

There were about 20 of those found maybe early '90's, all without lids and in great shape. That would be an addition to the other thread-- cans that used to be rare until a big find. Quite hard to find in good shape with original lids.

Old German cone. Tiger OI. Royal Finest cone. Lucky Xmas can. There are numerous others-- in fact there is a separate thread in the permanent area here on the RB site. Let's not hijack this thread. It's too precious.

Park consists of two cases that were found, unknown before that.

Billy and JR wee super rare until the moment they were produced and three billion kids all saved a twelve pack of them.

The Fox Deluxe OI with k and j (??) Were much more scarce unto a couple recent finds totaling maybe a case.

Blitz Weinhard gallons were tough at one time. Now they are the most common of gallon cans. Eigenbrots were tough at one time, they are being slowly rolled out on ebay-- a couple per year-- trying to keep the price up. One can that went up in value with a big find was the Fountain Brew cones. I have...

Some people underestimate the amount of time that goes into being in the right place at the right time to be able to buy cans. Its more than just having money. It's finding somebody who has what you want and persuading them to sell, too. Granted, it's likely easier than trying to dump every can you ...
