Is there a list of Peoria Heights cans from Pabst?

Has anyone created a list of the known Pabst cans from the Peoria Heights brewery? I remember losing an auction for a Eastside Old Tap "No Opener Needed" can many years ago that is not listed in any of the books and i was wondering how many more may have turned up. Also, has anyone ever fo...

Re: Propellor can in Dans July auction

I should have been able to put it together myself, but it didn't dawn on me until today to check whether the Primo was the same can Pokey posted here a while back. That and Dan's tags were enough to put it together, but I missed it even though I looked at the Primo several times - I thought I was s...

Re: Propellor can in Dans July auction

Just to round out this discussion: The can from RustyRaindog is the can that mtracy64 just purchased from the auction. I know because I bought the can back in 2006 and was ready to let it find a new home, so I consigned it to Dan for the Auction. It was the nicest one that I have had the pleasure to...

If a can is one of a kind, can it be more or less rare than another one of a kind can?
They are equally less rare than one that no longer exists.

Re: An Esslinger Parti Quiz question.

Thanks MI-CANS that is a ton of good information. However, I still have not found my can on any of those lists. I have the Wolpe catalog (1992, DEC, PAGES 16-25) and it was not listed there. I had not seen the 1978, OCT, PAGES 18-23 pages, before but I did not find it there either. I know it is the ...

An Esslinger Parti Quiz question.

Is there an updated Wolpe grouping for these cans? I have what I believe it is a Set #6 can, but the the first fact is not listed. Mine starts with; "W.C.A.V. MOST POWERFUL TV STATION" An interesting detail, the copyright on the face is 1954, which is consistent with Set #6, however on the...

Personally, I would not call it “cheating,” unless you consider any type of rolling a can cheating. Since that exact can design came both ways, either lid would be fine.

Re: Rainier Jubilee ZIP top help

I was going to say that the Zips are the tougher of the two, but I looked at my flat Brewery series cans and all but one of the 12 ounce cans where from the earlier release that have the “Rainier for Life” and the small numerals in the contents. Those flat sheets are definitely the right version to ...

Also, where is the Root Beer Can-O-Pop from? I am looking for Portland, Oregon cans.

Probably. Most likely the high bidder was told of the reserve after the close and given a chance to meet it.

Are they not in the newest edition? You don't see the 8 oz. straight sided steel much. Do the 8 oz. straight sided steel cans have a barcode on them?

The Schweppes are colour keyed on the bottom,

Now that is cool! That obviously helped the stewardesses (flight attendants in today's parlance) tell what flavour they were when packed in the rolling service cart drawers.

8 ounce tab-top soda cans mostly aluminum with barcode, common
10 ounce flat top soda hard to find clean, but most are fairly common in dumper. Quite a few were part of the Boeing wind tunnel find.

Whether you want to call the item on the left a "Beer Can" or you want to call it an "Advertising Can," either way it is a can. The same canning company that made the beer can on the right made the one on the left for Anheuser-Busch at A-B's request to help advertise the item on ...
