In another thread - there was discussion about the earliest crimped steel cans and a lot evidence of crimped steel with narrow seam cans dating to the mid to late 1960's.

Re: Beer can lunch box- I think from Russia

Pilsner Urquell is a 175 year + (founded in 1842) brand started in what is now the Czech Republic. As part of the brewery shifts in ownership, I think the brewery is now part of Asahi Group Holdings - one of the biggest international brewing conglomerates. There have been a series of these lunch box...

Re: Red Fox on Parade

Instead of a "Red Fox on Parade" - how about a "Skulk of Red Foxes"?
;)

From a quick search...
A group of foxes is referred to as a skulk, leash, or earth.
Male foxes are known as dogs, tods or reynards.
Female foxes are known as vixens.
Young Foxes are known as cubs, pups, or kits.

Thanks for providing link... really helpful to understand! I suppose the beverage industry did "respond" to the pull tab danger of cut feet on beaches and wildlife... though I seem to think there was some avid "encouragement" from legislatures out west that forced them to.... Sometimes I wonder, is ...

The timing of crimped cans is a bit earlier than the 1980's. I have no idea when the Great Lakes can dates from - so not commenting on it being a 1980's can. Unsure how to link to the discussion topic, but started one a few months back under "FEELING CRIMPED" if you are curious.
