4P Badger

Picked this 4P Badger up off eBay. It was a wild card with the poor photos and the appearance of further cleaning needed. I was hoping it was rust that would simply soak off, but much of it turned out to be more of a stain/deposit, and was very difficult to get off without causing collateral damage....

Goebel bantam question

I've only now come to appreciate the different slogans on the 8oz Goebel Bantam cans. It hadn't really registered with me before. How much tougher is the "Right from the cypress casks..." version versus the "Nationally famous... "version? I don't see the "cypress cask" version out there anywhere on ...

Re: Rolled Cans

I came up with two of the Red cap cans. One was an intact air-filled zip, and one was a flat sheet. I sold the can to Dan Morean and the flat sheet to OMT, who then had Art roll it. I don't know enough to say whether the air-sealed can was rolled or not. Attached are a few pictures of the can and th...

The best ones are grade 2. Relatively common labels though. Realistic price for the best ones is $25.00. Cool find for sure!

Two Manhattan Ales - OI auction vs another

So the guy who is paying ~$750 for the auction can could have had a much nicer can for ~$450 a month ago.

Two Manhattan Ales - OI auction vs another

I couldn't help but notice the difference in results for two Manhattan Ales sold recently and offer them here for comparison. A month or two ago, there was one that was sold on ebay. Pretty nice can as Manhattan Ales go, still had all its gold. That can brought $305.00. Rand's can brought $650 in th...

There was a find of them a few years back, but after the OI book. Sold via Breweriana.com. Still a tough can, but not R9.

Re: E&B ales and more from Michigan.

Just finishing a trip to good old Michigan. Strictly lower peninsula. We managed to turf up some good cans. Geez it seems Michigan is full of rusty bunchers in spring. Here’s my take for the shelf. The bud is metallic finish. The e and b ales were found across from a cabin. The guy must have really...

Soda cans dug in Maine

Hey soda can guys....Just got back from digging in Maine and have questions on a couple soda cans I brought back. The Upper 10 diet is rated R0 (only 1 example known) in the 2007 soda can guide, can #U80-6. Is this can really that rare? I brought back two of them. The Franks diet root beer pictured ...

Ah, I see what you mean, Marc. I had not looked at all the photos. Still, $2530 for a Coors waterfall can with scratches through the word Coors is nuts.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)

How did the Coors can with scratches on the front go higher than the early American Can Co test can? That's a head scratcher. [emoji848]

Re: RIP PAUL KING

This hit me hard too. Paul was a good dude. I always enjoyed Paul's jovial disposition, especially when he'd had a few beers. Passed way too young from a brain tumor. I learned of this a couple months ago when I messaged him to see how he was doing and it went unanswered. Very sad about this. Here's...

Bottom two rows are 2017 acquisitions, a few new labels and several upgrades or minor variations. And the top row is a handful of favorites that I dug in 2017. A few notes.... The Brown Derby is Silver Springs that Andy dug while on vacation with his wife. Don't scoff at the 905; the South Bend vari...
