Re: Pickwick Ale - dated labels - always?
Just an update. Apparently breweries that did not pasteurize their beer had to include these dates on their labels

Pickwick Ale - dated labels - always?
Picked these up in a group bottles and noticed the pickwick labels all have a dot matrix type (but punched out) date vertically down the middle. The date is 5-31-34. Someone on Facebook posted on from 1936 also so now I’m curious if all pickwick ales from the 30s had this

Re: eBay 1099-K
Obviously you should take your advice from an expert but my accountant has always just asked me to produce a spreadsheet that shows fees, shipping and costs. Since almost all of my purchases deal with cash - a journal and/or records of your purchases is enough I’m told. Keep in mind - things can als...

Re: eBay 1099-K
My accountant told me I could definitely adjust the income from the 1099-k to account for shipping, fees and purchase costs. Otherwise, it would be total BS - especially if you paid 10k for an item and sold it for 12k. You shouldn’t have to pay taxes on 12k

I don’t usually do much with beer crates - all I had left for beer was a Yale brewing before picking these up this week

It’s always amazing to see the pictures and videos of deer locked up. There are some videos online of guys freeing them in a stream.
That is a cool mount and I think I’d have something similar done if I ever found a pair locked up like that

Re: RB Buck Pole 2020 - Post Your Entry Here
Pretty cool. Was able to get my largest (heaviest) Connecticut deer last week. Rack looks small given the size of the deer, but he was a decent 8-pt. Almost made the drag all the way back home before giving up and unzipping him about 100yards from the scale. Still 177lbs gutted

Isn’t this guy diggin in western CT and that’s like close to NY/ NJ , right ?? Just went down to look at my Gilts and Tudors and gonna post a que...

Re: Newer CT Dump - milk, beer and soda
We will go back and poke around. We didn’t see any crowntainers or come tops at this spot. The gilt edges were all together when we found them - but there were a lot. We only kept a few of the many there. There were also a lot of the Tudor cans.

Newer CT Dump - milk, beer and soda
Went looking for a bottle dump with my son that we were told about. The lady who told us claimed she found some 1880s local medicines so we had to take a look. Didn’t find anything much for bottles but found a bunch of cans. Look to all be 50s cans and all new labels to us. We just scratched the sur...

Thanks you everyone for the award. We came home from being gone this weekend and there was a box on the porch. Upon opening it - I saw that it was the lucky dumper award. My kids both claim partial stake in the award - my daughter because she said she found the dump and helped dig once or twice and ...

Damn Ed that sign is killer. I would have bought that too.
Lot is signs up at the Pop Shop in Lenox - I was there earlier this week.
Good score. I’d be tempted to try what Will posted. I’ve used bar keepers on porcelain before and have had mixed results

Re: Oxalic mixing ratios
So we were soaking cans that were total rust or tons of rust for 4 hours but I know some of the folks that have the cans now soaked them again. I was never lucky enough to find a can with only a few spots but I still wouldn’t hesitate to use the same mix and just check them. We were pulling every ca...

When we were cleaning all of the cans we found that one level cup of oxalic in a 5 gallon bucket of luke warm water was the best ratio for us.

Re: Facebook site 'Brewerianna buy sell trade' moderator
Well that’s the way people are in general. The person or persons involved will always want to bury something like this ASAP. They don’t want people to find out they were involved since it may changer their opinion(s) of those people.

I’ll ask again. Does anyone know
1. Who bought the flat can on Facebook, or;
2. Who rolled it?
