Re: Recent MI bottle additions
Side collection of labeled michigan bottles grew a bit over the last few months. The Frankenmuth bock is my favorite and still has a cigarette in it. Yeah I know the Berghoff doesn't fit in but couldn't pass up a bock! I'm always looking for more. :smt023 20231014_135304.jpg Love the Goebel on the ...

Bogart and Apache Beer
Happened to watch this movie about a week ago and noticed the Apache Beer bottles on the tables and a sign on the wall, kinda cool. From the 1936 movie "The Petrified Forest", and being a 1936 movie, and being that they were in Arizona in the movie, makes think these are real bottles as we...

Re: Anyone else have this variation Bud ML?
Re-uping an old thread, I came across a listing for a group 70's cans and noticed this odd variant of another Bud malt liquor in aluminum can, not shown in the book under known cans or test cans.[attachment=0]s-l1600

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
A mish mash of cans I've picked up over the last 30-40 days or so. All fill a hole here or there in my collection. No $5k+ cans in here, but happy to have each and every one of them. Re: Interesting Schlitz drawn-steel can
I have a very similar can. Mine is almost the same, but with white trim rather than silver. Bottom is white, too. I don’t think they’re fake or fantasy cans. I figured mine was a test can, but just speculating. Very cool, nice to see that there's another out there, I rolled the dice on mine on an e...

Interesting Schlitz drawn-steel can
More than likely not for real, but I'm still puzzled by this can, being drawn-steel and with the 1962 date and also a steel flat top, the top of coarse could have been put on, but the date doesn't fit for being drawn steel, doesn't look to be altered in any way, also where the holes were punched in ...

Based on the information in this thread, I cleaned a bottle my Dad gave me. It is from a company in my home town - G. Haas of Sturgis Michigan. I documented everything. Hopefully, this will be useful for somebody else who is new to this. The toughest part to clean ended up being at the very top of ...

Re: crown can Dunk’s
OMT was looking for a top-opened Dunks, so I’ve been checking and they are not easy to find. Found one today, upon further inspection I notice the crown seal and pear shaped opening on the top lid plus a different Fischer bottom vanity. I didn’t have this can, it showed up in a small collection- tw...

Here's two more Royal Ruby's I picked up not too long ago, these are much harder to come by, a different style 7oz and a "Tall One Way" with stippling, I have yet to see what, if any, labels were used on these.

If anyone has the right 15 oz bottle (or even a 16 oz stubbie) let me know. Thanks, MarkB What label will you be putting on?, I do have a few extra "Glass Can"/ "Handy" bottles in 15/16oz size, there's also one ending soon on eBay. Oddly, I had just purchased a Primo 15oz label ...

Re: 11oz and 15 oz bottles?
Was just dusting my bottles and it seems I was in error on the long necks. I have two 11oz Sierra Beer and they both have the ridge on the neck like the steinies. Reno quit the long necks in the late 30s and went strictly steinie until 1952. thanks! Now I need a blank 15 oz. :) I don't think the 15...

I think Leon is concentrating on his bottle collecting, I'm heading in the same direction, seams that can collecting on here is 95 percent one-sided towards the rarest of cans only being talked about, and for those just entering the hobby quickly get out of it or loose interest, I've collected cans ...

Re: Poth's beer bottle time frame?
Much later rubber stoppers then would be pre 1880 Look like they cover the entire stopper itself. The bail looks 1880-1890. Machine made bottle for sure. But a very plain label. Bock being a short run they would not have invested much in a 6-8 week limited product ? I have some plain NYC labels lik...
