Not trying to be a nay-sayer but why is the background so different between the two pics? Seems if you take a couple Polaroid pics the background would be similar? I don't mean to be ornery, just asking questions....

Re: ring cameras
Thanks Will. I'll definitely be checking out the Swann. With the ring, if you don't have a subscription you can't review footage that is recorded. The camera will let us know there is activity but if you go to look, the lag time for the alert is enough that who or what ever that's in camera range ca...

This may be off topic for a beer can forum but I'm more than aggravated and just sharing what I've found with the ring cameras. Granted, I'm not computer savvy and maybe should have read more into it but I'll share what I've found after the fact...I bought my wife one of those ring cameras for Chris...

Near Mint? I'm not much on cones except for Lafayette stuff. Is it puffery or because it's from Omaha, St. Louis and New Orleans? I see the seller mostly sells models so maybe he doesn't know? I'd just like to know because this is a relatively common can if you don't collect variations - if this is ...

Great pics pinnacle-project. I live in a small town in southern MO and there's lots of things to see here. Shared a pic of one of the mills around here that's close to our place that I really took a shine to. I like to see other parts of these United States but sometimes the beauty is close to home....

Just curious Tinman... of the 2163 built, how many had the rumble seat? I'm a Ford guy so I'm just wondering. Did they only build the roadster with a rumble seat or could it have also been built with just a trunk? If so, it could be more rare than the numbers you shared. Whatever the case it's a dan...

This event used to be called Drag Week. You drive to several tracks in the car you race , and then you throw down at the specified track. It used to be sponsored by Hot Rod but their magazine sales have waned and as has their their sponsorship. I believe Hot Rod is only sold quarterly now and it mak...

This arctic air is sparing no one in the midwest. My hat's off to those that get out in these temps... Loaded both trucks with winter weather stuff in case we run off the road...but at these temps I hope no glass gets broken in an accident. We've lived in southern MO for almost 18 years and this is ...

The Stegmeier/Iroquois in FL is pretty unusual. :smt023 I can't add anything here about tax stamps that I haven't already posted but the Dakota is one I'd like to have. Always liked that can, especially if it's as clean as the examples shown. 5% was a strong beer back in the day, at least for those ...

Good lookin' trucks! I'm showing my age here but I'd need a ladder to get into those rigs. I love Ford trucks but the last 4wd Ford I bought I actually had it lowered. Old knees/bones and tall trucks don't mix well. I mean no disrespect. I used to ride in trucks that had 44's and it was fun. Not so ...

My most fond memory of cars involves a 1968 GTO and this brings back some memories. What a beautiful car and you're doing some really nice work on it. Just curious what the aluminum tank is that's strapped to the A/C compressor? Is it the accumulator for the A/C or a vacuum tank? Whatever, I'm reall...

Merry Christmas rusty brothers! Just returned from central AR after celebrating with the in laws. Watched a lot of the classics with them and ate too much also, per the usual. Clean! Probably the first 3/4 ton I've seen with the straight six and I've had a bunch of '73-'79 pickups. Always been a Ford man and that body style is my favorite. Hope the wife forgives you soon.

Nice work strings! Likely the most bock cans I've seen in a collection.
Being an Indiana guy I really like the purple Old Crown too! Cans are ephemera but wax cups have even a less expected lifespan and you've made an interesting display. Thanks for sharing.

If I was around at that time I would have drank something local, likely from the Lafayette brewery - Ye tavern, Tippecanoe, Kopper Kettle... Second choice would be Miller High Life for a national brand. If I was smart, I'd drink something from Marlin in FL and save the can.

Good stuff. Didn't know about this site. I have an old print of "a friend in need". I kept it because I love dogs. Didn't think it was breweriana. The Red Dog sign reminded me that I have probably 100 caps from their beer that are unique - they all had a different quote under the cap. Just...

Not really cans but they mean a lot to me. Been going through my dad's stuff and found these. The font isn't quite right on the minnow bucket but it has some age - I'm guessing early 60's. Just watched a segment on Geddy Lee this morning on the CBS Morning Show about Rush, one of the greatest bands from Canada. A bit of trivia... Excellent score. Even has a legible OH tax stamp. Who would throw that in a dumpster? What a lucky dive. The only thing I find in dumpsters is flies and a gag reflex. Really nice can
