Re: Paper Label Crowntainers- Our story so far

I confess I just threw the Bock label up as I had nothing at all on the Schlitz Bock can. Very curious to see how close they are other than the Bock font and that mine has a date and the can does not.... Does a Schlitz specialist know if that means it really is a mock up and not regular production ...

Re: Looking For Crowntainers

Sorry to hear it was a problem can but sure seems solid that way. Have you ever seen anything other than a Jordan or Gluek on the plain striped crowntainer? Weird it was just two Minnesota breweries using them. Fort Shuyler Ale, Schlitz Bock and Schlitz Beer, but tI think these three were all facto...

Re: Looking For Crowntainers

Bill, just noticed you don't have a Jordan in there? Any worry about them being legit or any story there? Andy I did have a Jordan once, wish I had it back. The one I had was a leaker. The paper label had a streak that extended from the cap down through the label, pretty much summed up any doubt it...

Fantastic collection Bill! Where did you acquire the dull gray Oertel's Victory can? I thought there was originally only one, but have seen it in a few collections posted on here over the last year or two. Thanks, Jim It was on EBay with a bunch of lousy pictures. It was hard to see that it was dul...

Re: Totally Bummed Today

Another tactic to try to level the playing field is to message the seller and say, hey, you’re gonna get offers so I’d like the chance to beat any of them before you end the auction. Let them know you won’t make your top bid until late. That cuts out most people trying to game the system. I did tha...

Sorry to hear that, don’t give up. My feeling is the seller is leaving money on the table by doing that. Stay after it I will share, that the seller actually found 6 of them. I bring that up, because this can is not as rare now as it was yesterday, but I still wanted one. I have a dumper, probably ...

Dang!!! I was high bidder, only bidder at the time of termination, at $2000 for a couple National Crowntainers on EBay. I had a snipe in at $9500 for the pair. But alas, someone talked the seller into terminating the listing and selling the cans to them outright, off EBay. It is going to be tough to...

Was I the only one shocked at the final price of the 16 oz Stite? I know they are not common or easy, but wow.... Of course, I may be totally clueless and it is a realistic result, I just don't know. I also know nothing specific about those cans other than what I see in your post or what I looked up. The Scotch you posted is 1 123 26 0. It has the contents at the upper part of the label. See below. Click to enlarge. 1 123 26 0 GROUP.jpg The Supplement shows a similar but different version of it...

My frame displays happened out of necessity. My wife had an antique, seems like concrete, frame that weighs about 200 plus pounds. I was constantly having to move it. One day the light went on, and I said to myself……Beercans!!!

After collecting for most of my life, I need to start selling some cans. They are on shelves with stuff stacked in front of them, and they don’t bring me the joy they used to. I am keeping some of my nicest dumped myself cans and a few that have sentimental value. I’ll probably start listing them o...

As far as Kuebler Crowntainers go, the 3.2% variation is by far the toughest. Picked this one up recently that was found in an attic in Virginia. Very lucky to add it to the collection

Great St Louis can. That one has always been a favorite of mine since dumping some in the Ozarks in the early 1970’s. An all original can with both kids are not all that common either. Nice find!!
