Re: Morean auction results
I had some issues early on in the auction, so I threw several provisional bids in while the site was working fine for me. My provisional bid held up on this one. 20230912_180445-1.jpg Awesome grab Marc, I love those OTA's, maybe need to start checking in on these auctions again if prices are gettin...

Morean Auction 4/16/23
I was interested in both the Pabst R10 OI's but they both went way over my budget. Should have bid more on the earlier OTA that was right around my price point on it. I always worry one more bid will just cost the winner another 100 bucks. The 20k+ on the Pabst Export WF was surprising, I think the ...

I was looking in the book later on this and there is a 12oz can that looks like this one but it was removed in the supplement. I wonder if this isn't just a

11oz Old Style Lagers
Are there 3 variations of this can? There are 2 listed but saw this one below go on ebay today. It looks like it has metallic silver trim and wasn't sure if it was tarnished, misprint or what. Made a late bid but then it went for over $500 so now thinking maybe there is a 3rd variation? https://www....

Re: Morean Auction 01-15-2023
Desirability is off the charts for Keeleys .. Apparently . But Kruegers Bock almost seems underrated - the “ ‘s” I think Is important - is there an earlier Bock can ? Oh Also is this auction over ? - there’s a particular can that seems to have a ways to go I read here recently Pabst were the first

These Rainier zips are nuts, I had no idea they were tough as I usually scroll right past these due to wind tunnel burnout.

Re: Morean Auction 01-15-2023
I guess I expected such a rare Krueger Bock to go for more but if there are a half dozen or so in this type condition maybe not. Then again double sounds about right in this market. The Natty Boh low pro with some fading in the red going for nearly 3K is surprising but I am sure as usual there are a...

Re: Morean Auction 01-15-2023
The Krueger Bock LO seemed like a decent price, at least compared to the last one that sold. Heck, I was going to bid when it seemed to pause around 10K for a bit. $16.5 K pre fees

Re: Morean Auction 11-27-2022
Silver Dime J sells for $2600 pre fees, Tru Blu ale quart for $25000. Both were rough and yeah Silver Dime was worse but they have to be in the same neighborhood rarity wise, right? I got skunked again, finished 2nd a couple of times but one of them I was relieved someone bailed me out as I thought ...

You have all the scenes but of course there are different versions of those scenes such as early ring pull, Keglined vs CCC etc. Yes, it looks like I have at least 4 different tab types among the 12 but I don't think I would collect others unless there is a different mandatory like the flat/zips ha...

Re: Morean Auction 8-28-2022
I was done when the last Pabst Bock OI finished, and I never even got a bid in. Perhaps I can win something from the Good Guys today. I was after that one too, looks like $1500 was my last bid but I was willing to go a little higher. I should have went after the Pabst Blue Ribbon Bock OI a little h...

Re: Morean Auction 8-28-2022
The Krueger Bock just set the new online auction record I think, 43.5K pre buyers fee. Dan was really hyping the long opener Krueger beer before it as a bargain, I almost bid on it myself.

Re: Morean Auction 8-28-2022
The Krueger's Bock is no surprise considering that the $30,000+ results from the past year have been on cans which typically sold between $7,500 and $12,000 until 2019 (aside from the giant Burger can). For this can to make sense against those other nosebleed results it has to go for $80,000+, and ...

I thought there was an auction and looked yesterday morning but thought it was down the road a week or 2. Just realized now I misread " Auction 30" as " August 30". Doh! There were a few cans I was interested in too. Edit: Just scrolled through the final prices, I have been covet...

Anyone digging around Lake Mead?
Sorry if this was discussed here but it seems like there is a new dead body found every week. Was also reading that the town of St Charles where the last resident left in 1938 is now above water again and is accessible by trail. Would love to hear some stories is anyone has checked it out this year.

Morean Auction day is always a day I look forward to. Today did not disappoint. Yep, I complain about the prices a lot but it is still something seeing all these holy grails available once a month. Nowadays the blue Blatz was a steal .. I collect the Schmidt’s - They gotta have a Schmidt lid and be bottom open - pronghorn , ducks and the dog have been tough for me - The Buffalo is pretty easy 6F791CFD-5ABD-4B89-B6F4-5B5DEAF6F71A.jpeg Nice, yes they get tougher especially white sky cans and I ...

Man, I was waiting around for those 2 nice Schmidt scenics but got shut out. $1000 for a Pronghorn is waay too steep and $500 for the Bison is also pretty ridiculous. I did win the dark blue Blatz can at what these days is a pretty reasonable price so I am going to call the day a win, I never win mu...

The pink can was rolled although that hasn't stopped the insanity in these auctions in the past.OhioCanGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 12:49 pm
Did the Pink Blatz go "cheap" due to technical issues or has the market dropped 85% on these?

This could take a while as they are having site issues again. Light blue Blatz set can with possibly replace lids going for $6500 pre buyer premium seems sorta crazy.

Re: Two Auctions June 26th WOW!!!!!
I love Dan's new format - I was done by 11:15 AM and only two items remained open as of 11:45 AM. The new format didn't prevent him from getting roughly $7,000 for a $150 can, so hopefully he continues with this format. Marc It's nice having it end so quick, especially with BCP out there today. But...

Great thread. Does Potosi, Wis., count? Produced both crowntainers and cone tops, but is a few minutes inland from the river. I have even been through there a few times but for some reason thought it was right on the river, but it is not and I agree doesn't count. I don't think Belleville Illinois ...

I looked at the Fountain Brew more than once but it appeared to be separating from the bottom… love to see a close up of what is happening there. I would say that is an accurate description of what is going on with this can, the crack runs about 30% around the can. Too bad because other than that i...

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
I stumbled on this guy on ebay with about 2 minutes to go and thought I scored a nice deal until I looked closer and what I thought was rust was a crack along the bottom seam where the beer leaked out. Still a great looking can and $200 is a lot better than $5000.
