Worthless, but haven’t seen in a while
Used to love finding these cans in the 70s - unusual size and foreign, always felt i needed to keep them when found, though they’re just common tabs. Found this one in Cumberland, RI Friday and it brought back memories

Digging Disappointedly in Pawcatuck CT
Any digging in August is better than nothing, so ripped into this new dump in exotic Pawcatuck CT and was richly rewarded with a bonanza of 70s and 80s cans. 😞 Anybody need an aluminum Country Time Lemonade? Color on it is spectacular. How about a 70s Schlitz? Oh well, next dump is gonna be Pilgrims...

Re: Dumping in NE Maryland
Didn’t have much time but jumped in to some woods along Race Rd. wearing my nice dressed-up pants and shoes and gave it a try. All I wanted was a Natty Boh, lol. You weren’t kidding about Maryland rainforests, lol. Had fun, thanks for info, your info was outstanding.

Great info, the area you describe is exactly where I’m going, I’m attending an event at Elkridge Furnace Inn on corner of Furnace and Race. Not sure if I’ll have time to look around or not, but your info, Monster, was outstanding.

First dump of 2015
28 degrees and no snow on ground in Acton, MA on Jan 3 - too good not to get out, even if below freezing. Found first dump of 2015, and it'll amount to very little, just some non-intact milk bottles in frozen ground. Nothing worthwhile at all - but Jan. 3 and getting outside - 2015 may be a good yea...

All 70s stuff that I didn't dump myself is getting recycled, batch by batch. First random box I grabbed was Schmidt wildlife cans. Targeted for recycling at end of week. Anybody want them?

I know in the big picture, this can is as common as cows in Texas, but I've never expected to see it in Massachusetts.

16oz. flat tops are underrated. You don't see them much. I have only 5 or 6 good enough for the shelf. I always try to salvage them when I find them.

Heard radio ad for Balantine and thought I was hearing things. Surely radio guy must've said Sam Adams and I projected Ballantine from my thoughts. Strange how digging Ballantines is such a drag (they're everywhere and they NEVER clean) but hearing it's (sort of) back made me so happy.

Gansett Flip Top's my #1 Can-from-the-60s-I-want-to-dig. I dig 60s Gansetts all the time, seen the Flip only 2X and both were crazy-bad condition.

Driving home PA to MA a few months ago, stopped for a stretch in Danbury CT and jumped in the bushes as I always do, and grabbed a mystery FT I figured was a 60s soda.

Dave, love your "old camp" posts. Such cool labels. I've never seen a Gretz down here (guess few have). Every digger needs at least 1 "old reliable" dump you can keep going back to, eh?

One of the bottles in MJ Finnican at 63 Franklin St. in Worcester, MA. I don't know what kind of product it was. Looks like soda or beer. The other is Geo F Hewitt Co. in Worcester, MA. Also probably beer or soda.

My favorite dump is being bulldozed and built on! Never tons of cans in the pre-war section, but some of my best - Stroud, Pilgrim, Kings, Esslinger quart FT. They've stopped bulldozing about 20 yards from the pre-war section. Now they're building on what they cleared. Close call....20 yards. Not mu...
