Re: Post office charges go waaaaay up!!!

Depending on where you are located a one pound or less box will cost between $7.35 and $9.30 for priority mail at the retail window. A 1 to 2 pound box will cost $7.85 to $14.20 retail. The priority mail rates using eBay's shipping are $6.95 to $8.25 (up to 1 lb.) and $7.42 to $10.86 (1-2 lbs.) The...

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)

Unless I'm missing something, the price on this Schlitz cone seems to have gone for about a $600 premium over a normal price. I know this can is tough to find without humidity, but really? Some odd variation? All I can say is: Good for the seller. Hope he actually gets paid. https://www.ebay.com/itm...

Added this Narragansett on Friday. Can of the show on the shinny side competing with the 10oz Tru Blue comes on the rust side!
Scott, thanks for the pix.

Looks like you've made quite the haul. Great stuff and love the Narragansett can. Congrats!

Re: An Aquarium in the can room

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going for option # 2 for the aquarium, my office. Just not worth the risk with the cans. And, my wife, would prefer it in the office too, so there's that. Although, I do think that with a freshwater tank, and a good dehumidifier, I could keep things under co...

An Aquarium in the can room

I'm sure many of you cringed as soon as you read the title of this post. However, I'm serious. Has anyone successfully kept an aquarium in the same room with their cans? Humidity is the obvious problem and I would run a dehumidifier to hopefully keep that under control. I wouldn't even think...

Seller has now added this language to the auction: NOTE: I am not an expert on beer cans I collect bottles. Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)

I think people's first reaction to buy it now's are that it is always overpriced. It's a risk but over time I think you will do better with auctions, in this case I am guessing many who wanted it just hoped it would go for less in auction. I agree with this to some degree. However, as @Leon points ...

BIN (Buy it now) price was $1,650 w/ free shipping. Instead, bidding pushed it up to $1,899 + $15 shipping. Good for the seller, he basically got his ebay & PayPal fees payed for. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABC-Select-Pilsner-OI-Vintage-Flat-Top-Beer-Can-Opening-instructions-/264153331717?_trksid=p204...

Nice work guys! I really like the glass curio cabinets mixed in with more traditional shelves in a can room. Just seems to add an extra element of dimension, depth and display contrast. My top addition in 2018 was this can, picked it up in January. Lilek 541, rated R-9/R-8. Every Mule Head long opener I've seen documented on dealer sites has been Lilek 540. Cans are very similar but with numerous differences.

The seller listed 6 cones all at the same time, including the Bluebonnet. Basically the cans mentioned in the opening post. Some quick math adds up to $1,470.13 in sales on those cans. Minus 15% for Ebay and Paypal fees, he likely will end up with $1,249.61. Minus the $400 paid, = profit of $849.61 ...
