Re: A bar in Plymouth NH with sweet cans displayed - anyone ??

Wow is right!! About 10,000% better than the 70’s collection cans typically found in bar displays.

Your son should seriously ask for contact info of the owner.

Re: IBC Show take-home

Another great show in the books. Here is my take, reflective of my continuing regrets over selling off the bulk of my Drewrys collection. Piece by piece it returns home. In many cases the exact cans I sold. Also picked up a few interesting odds and ends. The Jim Beam decanters lay flat to serve as ...

Thanks Keith! Much earlier than I had been thinking is possible. Curious if folks have any dated advertisements going back to the late 60's of early 70's?

Interesting. Off the top of my head, I would have guessed circa 1974. Definitely earlier than I thought as well.

Re: 36 can Acquisition Wednesday pickup

Leon, I try to keep the word of mouth network pretty active in looking for cans. Best friends you can have to find cans are guys in the trades. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC guys, etc. Most often they are not finding cans in the walls and such (although it definitely does happen), but they see cans i...

Thanks for the nice comments. I posted a few extra pix for your can find porn viewing enjoyment. Truth-be-known, this is one of the parts of the hobby that I really enjoy. Here is a recent sale. I'm pretty sure these were originally movie props. Hard to believe that whoever got the cones would leave that Clipper behind. Congratulations!

The cones were sold on ebay, one at a time, last year or very early this year. I believe I was the first "collector" to view the remaining cans.

36 can Acquisition Wednesday pickup

Picked these up a few hours ago (Wednesday). Had the chance to pick through a collection. All cones had been sold some time ago. 32 flats and 4 tabs here. Left at least 50 more flats and probably 500+ tabs. Was great to just walk out with one tote of cans and not be forced to buy the rest of the col...

I did notice that can. I’m definitely not a gallon expert, although I do know those are tough. That said, $1,400 seems like a stout number to me, but what do I know.

I didn’t know any gallon went that high, other than the Burger Camel.

Re: Easter Great Lakes Brewery Collectible Show Is smashing expectations!

Huge show! Room to room was fantastic, most people (Except Ohiocanguy) kept their rooms open 90% of the time. Interior rooms openned into an atrium like the old B&G Holiday Inn. The place was clean, well maintained and easy to walk around. Clayton and company had lots of Extra events to keep folks ...

Would be great to see cans/breweriana picked up at the show from others as well. Feel free to post here. Anyone take pics of the show itself? I usually do, but for whatever reason, did not this time. I picked this one up at the Toledo show about four years ago. Walk in. Guy approached me about buying it, said he'd had it for 30 years. I gave him a number, he asked a few other guys and then came back to me. I upped my number just a bit and it was done. I was then, and am now, very happy with the ...

Every time I try to take a break from buying for a few months, something I can't ignore pops up. It has a new lid, but I think I can live with that on this can. Marc 20180927_172909-2.jpg Wow, nice!
