Re: Post Your Canning Company Cans Here
I picked up a new canning company can from the 50’s at the Windy City show on Saturday.. I’ve never seen this can before so I thought I’d share it.. I’ve been meaning to send a picture of my other company cans since this thread came out so I thought it would be a good time to do both.. Happy Hunting...

Re: 3 propellor cans For sale on Kijiji in Ontario
I’m bow hunting in western Wisconsin this weekend, so I’ll send some more complete pictures one night this week. There are many tough Wisconsin cans that I am missing, but that’s what keeps me invested in this hobby.

Re: 3 propellor cans For sale on Kijiji in Ontario
After 80 years, they’ve finally made there way back home to Wisconsin. One of the cans that I didn’t think I’d ever find….. Very happy! I'm drooling over them (I couldn't afford that price) and over the entire collection! Wow. I must've spent a solid 25 minutes inspecting each row. Glad you have th...

Re: 3 propellor cans For sale on Kijiji in Ontario
What am I missing here? Canadian connection had three propeller cans. Is that a fourth I see already on the shelf? Good for you in picking those up by the way! The can on the shelf is from Seattle. I didn’t think I’d ever get one from Milwaukee. I just think the propeller cans are so cool I bought ...

Congratulations. Propeller cans are so cool. My real question: loooking at your collection (superb by the way), why do you have what appears to be two orange Blatz Christmas cans? Is there a difference or variation I don't know about? Or is one can special unique to you? Not a variation, just a col...

Don was an amazing guy.. He was the original repair guy for our group. He was one of the reasons I started playing around with can repairs. He helped me and pushed me to take it to the next level as the new repair guy for the group. His legacy will always live on and i will cherish the years that we...

Acme Withdrawn free rebuild.
I recently took on a project that I wanted to share with the group. Andrew (zoinkss) found an Acme withdrawn free rolled can in a collection that was about a half inch short and no lids. He found out that Don (specks) didn't have this can, so he asked me if I had any Ideas. A few years ago i found o...

Duquesne paint over
I picked up Duquesne Bavarian Saturday at the Potosi show because it had an early lid and thought it might be an upgrade. When I sent Bjorn a picture of what I all picked up, he told me to check the seam for signs of a paint over as they’ve been known for a few good ones. He was right, there was a p...

Picked up a large collection this summer from the family of a gentleman that passed many years ago. The cans on the wall in the basement had been cherry picked. The cans in the garage attic had not. Found a few good ones. Steve

I picked up a large collection 2 weeks ago and been quit a chore getting through it. I’m guessing about 5000 cans. Lots of aluminum and common steel, but I did find some real jewels. There are many upgrades and variations that will be added to my collection. Probably around 200 cans. I’ll post some ...

I don't have a story on this one, but it is definitely an uncommon variation. Is your can the same seam/canning code as mine? . http://www.mbcinfo.com/CSS/JosSchl...

Soaking crowntainers..
Recently I've been playing around with soaking some cans. Been doing 1 or 2 cans at a time using lemon juice for pretty minor rust clean up.. The question I have is, will the paint on a crowntainer act the same as a regular can or do they need to be treated differently???? thanks...….. Steve
