Re: Looking for advice
Besides this website there is a program written by one of our collectors, Randy Karasek. It's called the BEER MAGAZINE VIEWER. He has negotiated rights to include The BCCA Magazine at certain time intervals. Currently his inventory is through the end of 2022. I just checked and found an article in ...

Morean Auction April 28th
I, just out of curiosity, looked over the upcoming auction that takes place in two weeks from today. There's 590 items listed. 98 have no bids (that'll change by the time I post this!) High Bid is $2,200. Lowest Bids sit at $25. So far the bidding totals up to $55,125. (again subject to when I post...

Might not be necessary any more but here's the Cans I found in the Catalog. Click to enlarge.
Sorry for the copy & paste look but it was quick and done. Note the variations in the Can Co descriptions.

Everyone...appreciate your inputs, suggestions and efforts! It does look like a canning jar from Ball. I searched through Ball vintage logos and no such critter. Thanks for reminding me about the Wolpe Catalog. It does list the "C over U" canning info. And for what it's worth, there are s...

As long as I’m asking for assistance on one topic, I might as well get greedy and ask for one more! I was approached and agreed to tackle this project for the Chapter. It is supposed to be a historical reference on the Chapter’s participation in the annual Display Competition at CANvention. My idea...

I regularly post this example and ask if anyone knows the Can Company it represents. So far, no answer. Maybe a new site visitor might know it or a site regular might have come across the answer. It looks like the letter "C" over the letter "U". That numeral "10" might ...

There's no less than 105 cans listed in the New Cans Database that have 360 degree opening tabs.

Turn Every Can Into A Drinking Cup
Came across this while visiting Amazon site. Apparently someone invented a gizmo that removes top lid on a can. I know there are some canning companies with 360 degree removable lid. I'd call it more of a novelty thing. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=draft+top+Manual+Can+Openers&rh=n%3A289757&r...

The Supplement ID's this can as a test can. They have plenty of paper labels, foil labels and I'm sure there are early shrink wraps in there somewhere. Definitely not a production can.

jwcans Agree, as someone with a small can collecting niche, I would certainly appreciate having it in my collection. As with many other "no love" cans in the book, there's a good number of them that attract "a lot of love" if you get my meaning. And yes, even if I didn't have a ...

TAB.png I can envision the pull and the simultaneous action of opening the drinking/pouring hole. What I can't figure out, why the saw cuts are there. Obviously they have to weaken those parts of the tab sections for bending or breaking off? The rivet on the left makes sense, it holds the part that...

Pbama I checked with the Supplement and only one James Bond can has 5 views and this is it... 2082320_Top.jpg You'll see that it is one of the really early pull tabs because it has a full circle and opening instructions. Later versions modified the shape of the circle and they joined the anti-litte...

MarkB Took me a couple of days but I went through the Lewandowski Composite file (saved it back from 2015) and cut down the 47,105 lines to 27,530 lines. Original file was a terror to work with. Rod S. not sure of it but it seems the blue of the cans pictured in the first two posts are different, one shiny and one more flat appearing. Rod S. It's my understanding the Supplement images are purposely done in a way as to not show any metallic surfaces with shine. That's just their procedure. ...

It's actually a Hamm Bone Zip. It does have a Reynolds Zip Tab. Also, 17 years ago, the book pr...

A Note On "VINTAGE BEER WAGONS"...
I originally had found enough images for two posts in the "Breweriana Photo Vault" section of the BREWERIANA Section on this site. Well, I kept finding more and more and finally stopped at 100. So what I've done is rearranged all the images into 4 parts, 25 pics each. Some of what was in ...
