Re: Beer Can Dreams

I have, repeatedly. Often enough that when I have one of those dreams, I'm usually thinking (in the dream) "After all those times dreaming about it, it's actually happened..."

Re: If you have ever been to Canvention....

Very interesting. It looks like most of the cans on the seller tables were roughly contemporary to the era - the demand wasn't for older cans, but maybe for cans that were current but only available in other parts of the country. I think I saw one conetop in the video.

Re: If you have ever been to Canvention....

This photo from St. Louis 1971 was on the Canvention site. I'm curious whether anyone recognizes any of the attendees. I'm guessing that the cans being held up by a few guys in the photo were the commeratives? I'd love to see what the stacked cans in the background were. 1st-CANvention-Photo.jpg

I kind of like them. In her own way, she's like the rest of us: seeing beauty in old beer cans when 99% of people wouldn't give them a second glance.

Re: Union steel workers with beer cans

Cool picture. I like how the Hamms guy seems to be making a point that he's not drinking Schlitz. Odd that with all the bottom-opened flats in the hobby, you see relatively few examples in vintage photos of people drinking from the bottom of the can.

Re: Beer Cans and Hollywood Movies

There were some 16oz 102's prominently displayed in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and another brand created for the movie, Old Chatanooga, I think.

First off, killer stuff. Thanks for sharing. I love seeing the collections here as well. In the Member Profile area there's a thread that shows all the collections that have been shared previously. That alone is worth the membership fee. Here are mine.

Red Fox Beer Withdrawn Free Question

I acquired this can some years ago. As I recall, the seller had gotten a few of these years before from his grandfather in Greece. The grandfather's house had been occupied during WWII. The unusual thing about the can is that the WF statement is across the top as opposed to the side. My questions: 1...

Re: Soooo.....who got what???

I got the other Running Waiter and the Samson Ale. Two nice additions for someone who collects graphics. I had bids on a number of other cans, but I was only relevant for the first few days of online bidding. It was a lot of fun following this one. Nice to see so many cans staying in RB collections.

Re: $52 to ship a can.

“Grand Prize Beer Can. Researched and evaluated by Breweriana. Suggested price by Breweriana. Shipped ” I like how the seller makes it seem like he submitted the can to Breweriana.com and their team of experts carefully evaluated the value of the can. Not at all like he looked up sold prices on much...

Very nice. The news team seemed a little bemused, but I'll bet the segment gets a few people to check out the hobby. I like that can #1 got camera time while some of the rarities sat on the shelf.
