Re: Continental Can Company ad

Thank you Keith. Now thinking I will create BMV publications named “Advertisements” and “Canning Companies”, and then artificial months such as “American”, “Continental”, “National” etc under which to group. Would fit BMV structure nicely, TOC would be info such as real publication, date and possibl...

Re: Continental Can Company ad

Great can company ad Keith. Do you or other collectors have more ads that could possibly be bundled with the BMV? I am thinking of going through the Brewers Journals and grouping into “fake months” and adding a publication named “Advertisements” so nicely grouped together. Any digital format would b...

Here in northern Indiana the eclipse Monday from 4:30am until around 6:50am was amazing, total darkness. Couldn't see the sun. Around 3:10pm the sky darkened for a few minutes but never really dark. We were predicted to be "96%" but didn't feel anywhere close. Will be nice however not to h...

I asked same question years ago, but so far no answer. Assume it is a west coast canning company since found on many CA tabs. I have wondered if it is "creative" way to display the letters "C" and "U". Sure this is written somewhere in long ago documents that possibly l...

Re: 8 oz. Mule?

That might have been from Wally Gilbert's collection. When I went to San Diego after his passing, long after the rare stuff picked over, there were still easily 15-20,000 cans remaining. A 12oz Mule was one of them, and neither his executor nor myself could find that in the few references available....

Looking for unpictured Detroit Guinness cans

Not to add to collection, just looking for missing photos. When I was actively working on the Michigan Beer Cans project I was able to photograph many of the Detroit Guinness Ale and Beer flat tops. Assumption is there is a can for every number, but I was not successful in finding all of them. What ...
