Re: BLATZ Olive Drab Camouflage J-Spout Cone Top Beer Can.

But, if you collect other j-spouts like Sea Marker ect, ect, that didn't hold beer you gotta collect these. No j-spout collection could be complete with out them. I actually like OD cans that look nothing like there non OD counterpart & the Blatz is one of them, along with Cincinnati Burger Brau ect...

Re: BLATZ Olive Drab Camouflage J-Spout Cone Top Beer Can.

Well, we know Michigan cans in general have dropped in value because several key specialists got out. As for Miller, the same seems to be happening with other national and large regional brands. I've seen some very surprising results on Coors and Hamm's OI's the past couple years, and Budweiser and...

Yes, I did say that. I remember 20 years ago when a tough Alpine was $300 & so was the Black Frankenmuth Bock. Then the Black Frankenmuth shot up to $1,500 & now average $800-1,200. While the same Alpine has always stayed at around $300 past 20 years? Can't explain it. The German Eagle Goebel has do...

I Started rubbing one, under it was a gold can with thin white lines, kinda like a Pfeiffer but I never finished it to see what it really was? If you do a search in here you may find my old post. LEON.

I don't know about every week but I have seen quite a few of those Blatz OD jspouts on ebay. Probably none as nice as yours but seems like good ones go for $500-600? That is a pretty sweet can, but I think maybe just not quite minty enough to get the guys that pay the big bucks for the super clean ...

I Think the guy in here asking $800 for a common red Miller that's really only worth $400 is asking twice what it's worth. And you know what, with no hesitation he gets it. :smt017 I don't get it :smt017

Re: How many of you soak mystery cans? Share your favorite mystery can.

I did soak a zipper seam mystery can like you see on the war cans. I knew it had to date around 45-47. Ends up it was the earliest Pfieffer with can company date of 1946. Even though most Pfeiffers are common this is a tougher variation if your into small variations. LEON.

Re: How many of you soak mystery cans?

When I know they're old I'll soak them to see what they are. 2 come to mind, a Pabst Bock OI ans a Silver State cone. that's was my exception or certain occasion mentioned above. If I dig a non beaded lids can with one big huge opener hole I can assume it's a mid 1930's can & I will take to soak, s...

If I lived in PA or California or New York or east Coast or Pacific northwest or any of those other places that are know for the land of rare $1,000+ cans I would soak Mysteries. The 3 enameled cans would of had a gray under coat or base color of gray most likely. The 3 metallic cans would not of had the gray base under it most likely. I was going to guess misprint but then it wouldn't have any red on label but it does. :smt017 LEON.

It's probably in the best five condition J-Spout Blatz OD's known. I don't know if it will bring $1500, but I would think you should at least get close to $1000.
