The Gold Bug, not the Gold Bug II, is the one the west coast guys swear by. More deep pits found with that detector than any other machine.

Bob,
Fantastic! I’m pretty sure this makes you the official king of set cans. If there’s someone else who should have the title correct me.

Thanks Pete, I’m stumped because it looks intentional. If I saw ONE of these I’d say fade or some printing issue, but with 2 identical who knows.

Anyone seen this can with 2 different colors? 1 face has yellow/brown and the other face has orange/brown. This is a glued seam flat top. Might be common, I’ve just never noticed it before. NOT A FADE (I have 2 of these cans, exactly the same). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220523/41ed872209b87...

Whatever it is will likely be a moneymaker if the paint comes off nicely.
I was in on the bidding but stopped at $25.

I’d love to know what the underlying can is and how it turns out. If it went to a Rusty Buncher please let us all know.

Re: Unlisted National Bohemian 5% Alcohol By Volume
Cool can. Maybe a ho-hum brand out east, but for us in the midwest, a neat label not seen that often. So I take it the alcohol statement makes it a scarce variety? Exactly. I asked around and found someone with another example with the alcohol statement, but I never knew it existed prior to this. I...

I remember having an original Beer version that came out of a ceiling in a house on Long Island. Not sure why but not many collectors seemed excited about it. I believe it went to Dave Stark at a Canvention - Pittsburgh most likely. I think I only got around $850 for it. I think it was Dearborn, th...

Hey Jim,
Can we do a Friends/Family $10 payment directly to treasurer@therustybunch.com or would you rather do $10.75 via the normal method? Just curious.
Thanks!

Just curious - for those of us who use Tapatalk - does anyone pay for it? There’s basically a half price sale now. No ads. Better picture management. It’s only like $5 a year with the sale. Just wondered if anyone uses/likes the paid service. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY RB BROTHERS & SISTERS! Steve

Re: You never know, until you look
With the prices of many cans going crazy I think everyone is scared to put a price estimate on anything. I'd say $75 for the 2-faced Natty Boh is about right, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't bring much more at auction.

Auction prices leading to rethinking the collection
Just curious if I’m the only one here who is constantly thinking about cashing in at the high prices we see at the auctions. I don’t want out of the hobby, but I’m ready thinking about downgrading what I’ve got (in some cases I couldn’t downgrade due to rarity or already have a poor example of a fai...

There is another can label beneath what you can see. It was painted over at the can company. They can sometimes be revealed using rubbing compound. Don’t jump into it though. It’s not a simple job.
