Re: Totally Bummed Today
Another tactic to try to level the playing field is to message the seller and say, hey, you’re gonna get offers so I’d like the chance to beat any of them before you end the auction. Let them know you won’t make your top bid until late. That cuts out most people trying to game the system. Matt - st...

Just a heads up... if you're one of those whom seek bottom open zips and like to bid, one on the old auction site. International Frankenmuth, bottom opened zip - Relided. It's very obvious, if you don't see why, please educate yourselves. Hint - study canning companies, and the style zip tops they u...

Re: -couple of Chicago tabs
Both of those cans are re-lidded, and obvious. First, "Dispose Properly" late generation ring pulls are obviously much later than those labels. Secondly, the Gold Brau soldered seam is a 50's era seam and much earlier than "tabs" from the Chicago brewery. Both labels did come in ...

Re: Remove touch up or not?
I see this sold for $109.50 plus shipping on ebay. I know little about tabs, even rare ones. Was this a reasonable price? A steal? What do you think? Not a sexy label, and similar to a much more common label. The "split label" Ale is one of the rarer and more difficult tabs to obtain on g...

What would an on grade bottom opened example fetch in today's market? 2, 3, 4, 5 K, more?

Re: Sunshine flat variation
So this is my take... I have seen tabs like this in the same color 'variation'. As you are probably aware, at the can manufacturers, when printing (lithograph) the flat stock sheets, each color is a different 'plate' or lithographic pass. Occasionally certain graphics on the design will have overlay...

Re: Morean Auctions 4/24/22
I am happy for everyone involved in the auction(sellers, buyers, Morean) but how is a Edelweiss Cherry Berry 59-6 a $1000.00 can? Am I missing something? Rod Flat? Chicago or South Bend? The South Bend version is a super tough sleeper but since most people are sufficiently happy with the Chicago ve...

How many Red Birds are out there? Weren’t a couple sheets found in a Pabst employee’s lunch box, discovered by his son? -asking for a friend. Re: looking for Stroh's zip 1-face
Do all the 1 sided zips have toothed seams? I was never aware of that until Aho’s Photo and I’ve never seen any 1 sided label with that type of seam before. Yes, or all the dumpers I have seen do. That is a key to telling if someone has re-lidded the easily obtainable single faced flat top. I don't...

Looking for 12 oz Stroh's zip 1-face... know they are pretty tuff, but they have been found off and on by the Michigan dumpers. Anyone got an extra or a lead on one?

Re: Edelweiss Juice Tab.......New Sales Record?
I have the one in the book, I knew it would go high. Have never seen another until this auction. Would you mind post a picture of your can showing the seam, top, and bottom? The can in the auction doesn't match up or the time frame... the gray juicer top is from a 70'ish can, the bottom from much a...

More like $10,000.I think you are correct! I would have some serious competition for that can on eBay.
Would that be a $1000 fan tab? I think it would be at least that…..

Sure would like to see the two variations side-by-side. Any chance the Supplement Team will provide more detail in the variations?
