Cook's Goldblume cone top
At CANvention I upgraded my Cook's Goldblume cone top with the Robert E. Lee. But, when I looked at it closely, I noticed that the inscription ROBT E. LEE on the steamship is there twice, in black on top and blue on the bottom. Has anyone ever seen this before? I wonder if it is a variation or an er...

Drewry's question
I have two Drewry's Horoscope cans that are identical except one has a National can US map logo and the other has a large S in the same location. Does anyone know what the S means?

Neil,
Glad to hear you are out of the hospital. No rush on the cans. Your health is what's most important right now.

Kurt,
I looked at my can and the top and bottom lids are the same as the ones on this can. And, as Al said, all of the original cans I know of have VA tax stamps on the bottom.

Today they started tearing down the Holiday Inn/Ramada/Howard Johnson's in Fredericksburg. We had some great times at that hotel. Unfortunately the hotel outlived its time. Here is a picture.

Re: A BIG THANK YOU TO UNCLE DAEV !
Uncle Daev did me a favor too. I bought a painted bottle from Conehead and then went to the RB room to buy raffle tickets from Daev. About an hour later, I went in my room and couldn't find the bottle. I searched in every room that I had been in and didn't see the bottle. I then went in the RB room ...

I have a dumper. I think it is the one in the USBC book. Jim Wolf had a dumper but he upgraded his to an all original indoor can. So, that makes at least 3 I have seen in addition to this one.

Next Saturday, May 11, the BCCA Board will be visiting the Cascade Chapter D. B. Cooper show in Portland, OR. The meeting will start immediately after the show at the same location. From the picture there appear to be some tell-tale scratches along the top rim. If they are really there it would make me think it is relidded. Are the scratches prominent with the can in hand?

Jim,
They were left in the brewery when it closed. The holes were punched in the can so they could never be filled.
I have a top-opened one without the hole. As you said, you don't see them often without the hole.
