Re: Utica Club Sparkling Ale Wartime bottles
I would go along with the theory that these bottles date from the mid 1930's. By order of the FAA Administration, U permit numbers were prohibited on labels after 1936 or 1937 although some remained on labels a bit longer. But the label statement "Absolutely Pure" is an eyeopener. "Pu...

Re: Griesedieck Brothers Beer sold in VA?
Not Virginia, but around 1985 I dumped a single Griesedieck flat top off of Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel/Maryland City, Maryland. The can had a Maryland tax stamp on the lid. Obviously the brand was sold, however briefly, in the Mid Atlantic region.

Fortunately some of us are alive and well. But it certainly is sobering to remember the many names and faces who no longer remain on this planet. Cheers to those who have gone on before us. I believe Rusty Bunch Chapter and other local chapters are remembering past members with the new BCCA Tribute ...

Still interested in Boston Guinness cans? They are here at my local convenience store in 4's and 8's. Let me know and I will pick them up and ship after emptying. Are they nitro which I find are impossible to bottom open.

Thanks Gary and Keith for stepping in to the officers' jobs. Many are called, few serve. It is very unfortunate that Rusty Bunch was put in this position but we are in competent hands now. Thanks again!

An unbelievably spectacular find walked in off the street Friday. I don't have pictures but I am sure someone will post one in the next few days. A great show but we are also reminded of the many fellow collectors from this year alone who are looking down upon us from on high. Thanks to John Melillo...

Four or five of them came from the Chapel Campsite on Lake Mooselookmeguntic in Maine two decades ago. That's it. Mine is pictured in USBC and is probably the best example we (Dave Lang, Matt Menke, Charlie Bacon) found.

Re: Haberles LPs in the Adirondacks
Nice cans Keith and great examples of the cans found in the Adirondacks. The Haberle Ale is sweet. Fund a bunch of those in the Conifer dump. Now find a high profile. This LP Beverwyck Irish Ale is much more difficult to find in displayable condition than any of the high profiles, probably a short r...

Brew Dog does operate a brewery here in Ohio. I have not heard of any such offers made by Brew Dog in the United States. Ipswich Ale is promoting a gold-colored Pale Ale can inside 12 packs of their Ipswich Pale Ale this year. Ipswich states there will be 25 or 30 of the cans and they may be redeeme...

Re: Beverwyck Ale Low Profile Variations
Beverwyck is one of my favorite brands; I have an awful lot of Beverwyck cones and quarts from dumping in the Adirondacks for nearly 50 years. Quinn & Nolan Ale Brewing Co. was the ale brewer, founded in 1845. The brewery was adjacent to the Beverwyck Brewery, a lager brewery founded in 1878. Wh...

The Globe Brewery in Baltimore was one of North America's oldest breweries. According to American Breweries , it was the successor to a Baltimore brewery founded in 1748. The Globe Brewery name first appears in 1901 but the plant became part of the G-B-S brewing complex in Baltimore until 1920. From...
