Re: Wind Tunnel Cans - Supersonic Engineering
Yes, Ames Research is in Mountain View, CA at Moffett Field. There are numerous wind tunnels there, both large and small, run by NASA, as well as a Space Shuttle simulator. I was stationed there as a P-3C Naval Flight Officer when it was an active duty and reserve Naval base in the 1990s. You can st...

Re: 2023 March Madness?
I am in also this year after missing last year.
Thanks to everyone for the reminders on this thread.
I have two past 3rd place finishes to uphold and I think a couple of ~ 30th place finishes to tie.
Should be fun.

I was wondering also, I have enjoyed entering in the RB brackets even if I did not do well some years. Round of 64 starts Thursday. Randy K normally starts us off.

I just got mine in again. Missed doing it last year. Thanks for setting up Randy. Are you heading to TAT in Green Bay so I can collect my prize if I should be so fortunate? I'm pushing Big Ten again this year to get a least one team in the championship game.

That is a great graphic collection that does not take up a lot of space. Just as colorful as beer cans and probably with some good stories by any old timers that see them. Well done!

Re: Green Bay Trade Show April 23, 2021 - April 24, 2021
Springfest is a mostly can show but much much smaller than TAT and Guzzle, being held in half of a VFW building. With table spacing for Covid this year probably even smaller. Good number of walkthrus though. I'll be a RB'er at TAT also. Usually a fair number of MN guys traveling to Green Bay. I also...

Dan, Just saw this thread. Thanks for posting the background story of where/how they were found. The cans are fantastic but the story is so real. Imagine the firefighters drinking these back in the day on an off day or after a hard days work. Maybe there are more cans in that fire station or others ...

Big thanks to Randy for getting this challenge going again this year. It forces me and my sons to fill out a bracket "on paper" and think about who could win and why. We watch more games together and since they both play basketball, I think they learn a little from watching the college gam...

I'm happy to be in the running also (MNbrews). Randy sounds like a great trip with your son...have a blast at the games! Thanks...

Looks like my two are the same mandatory, Andrew. The metallic is "Brewed and Packed by Gipps, Chi.."., a Continental 75 can. The enamel is "Gipps Brewing Company, Chi..." , National can and a paintover of an upside down Budweiser. Are all enamels from National paintovers?
