Something tells me one of the older books (the Bible, BCU, one of those) had a photo of this identifying it as a fake or a fantasy can. Can't remember exactly where I saw that.

I picked up the Regal with blue lettering (234-23) from brother Roy Nelson about five years ago. It definitely took me forever to find it! It's buried out in my barn otherwise I'd snap a photo for you.

It could just be the lighting but it looks like that can was "worked on" somehow and that it didn't start out as straight sided. Not saying it isn't, just saying it looks kind of weird.

I am SO sorry that happened to you. My best wishes getting the can fixed and/or a refund to compensate, preferably both. Unfortunately I have a horror story or two about shipping cans, as I'm sure most or all of us do. Might make an interesting thread itself, though a heartbreaking one.
