Iron City zip with North Carolina tax stamp on the bottom, found in 1988 at the "Wake Forest 2 Drunk Brothers Gas Station Dump". (The only one found.) The 4th photo with the NC tax stamp on a relatively shiny lid is from a completely different can (a 16 oz Nat'l Boh flat), but I posted it ...

In April of 1942, just 4 months after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, a group 80 U.S. Army Air Corps pilots and crew flying land-based B-25 Mitchell bombers took off from the aircraft carrier Hornet in the Pacific and bombed Japan. The group came to be known as the "Doolittle Raiders"...

I'm so sorry to hear the news about Matt. I used to see him and we'd do some trades at the Atlantic Chapter's fall shows in Asheville and Hendersonville, NC. Hard to believe he's gone... Here's an article and photo of him from the Meteorological Society website: https://www.ametsoc.org/ams/index.cfm...

After having to turn back Wed. because of the snow in NC, it was good to get there Thursday and hang out with so many friends I often see but once a year:...
